Welcome to Socially Prescribed Perfectionism Self-Help
Do you struggle with feeling pressured to perform tasks perfectly? Do you feel like other people expect a lot from you and that they won’t be happy unless you perform to a very high level? I’ve created a website called “Perfectionism Self Help” as part of a research project to gather information on whether people find an online program of this nature helpful, and as part of the requirements for me to complete a graduate program in clinical psychology at Alliant International University. It involves a specially designed program containing information and exercises that include exploring one’s values, looking at the way perfectionism gets in the way of who one wants to be and different ways to potentially help perfectionism be less of a difficulty in one’s life. The website is entirely free and requires only some basic demographic information, a password and e-mail which will be used solely for the website to send reminders related to the activities in the program. The program involves a significant amount of introspection and potentially time, so please only sign up if you intend to complete the program.
Thank you.
